Summary:
Identify new business opportunities and through developing existing and new business accounts. Maintain an active new business prospect listing to approach and present to the company. Undertake new business sales calls to win new business. Develop financial supporting data and process data to potential and existing business wins. Responsible in maintaining existing customer database through regular sales visits
 
Responsibilities:
  • Strong focus on developing new logistics and services business opportunities while maintaining existing relationships.
  • Develop a new business prospect listing to ensure that future new business development is planned in advance.
  • Manages assigned customers and budget base; pursues and secures business in line with the business strategy.
  • Maintain close working relationships with the Operations and Contract Logistics team.
  • Growth mindset and high change agility – has an ability to learn new things quickly and can adapt to and champion change with peers and others.
  • Enthusiast and proactive in driving outcomes and getting things done. Has a high attention to detail.
  • Collaboration – can bring people together in order to get the job done and or drive more meaningful solutions.
  • Communicates significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts.
  • Researches and understands the territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.
  • Maintain and manage the financial forecast and cost module projections from new business submission
  • Researches and analyses competitive and industry trends.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five years industry experience preferred
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Previous business development experience preferred, with a sound understanding of logistics and solutions selling.
  • Great relationship building skills, customer oriented.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to be both persuasive and influential.
  • Self- motivated and performance driven.
  • Have excellent cognitive and analytical skills, grit to get things done, critical-thinking and growth-mindset
  • Commercial focus, results-oriented, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literate
