Cargo operation Superintendents -Tankers
  • Ensure safe cargo operation of oil tankers.
  • Ensure safety and pollution prevention on board
  • Ensure adequate resources and support are provided to ships and crew
  • Always provide health and safety training and maintain standards
  • Prepare vessel for terminal /SIRE inspections -with special focus on cargo operations
  • Supervise and train officers for pre-loading and loading operations
  • Verify cargo requirements, vessels stress, trim, draft and cargo lifting capacity.
    • check all tanks and supervise the full loading operation, after which a full set of cargo documentation is produced.
Supervise and train officers for discharging operations.
  • Supervise and train officers for discharging operations.
  • Supervise the discharge, crude oil washing, tank stripping, line stripping, inert gas operation, time sheets etc are made for a discharging operation.
  • Assist and train crew with the Right procedure for framostripping system to minimise OBQ
  • Assist and train crew with crude oil stripping operation to minimise OBQ.
 
Supervise and train crew for cargo grade change and tank cleaning procedures
  • Prepare vessel for cargo grade changes
  • Prepare vessel cargo tanks and slop tanks with tank cleaning for entering dry dock
  • Plan and prepare for de-slopping and de-mucking operations using safe and effective procedures
 
The ideal person:
  • Sailing experience as Master Mariner or Chief Officer
  • Experience on chemical tankers /Oil tanker as Chief officer
  • Willing to travel and sail with vessel for short periods.
  • Confident in tanker - cargo operations
