Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced, thorough, and insightful Cost Controller Manager to oversee cost management for our entire company. In this role, you will work collaboratively with various division/department managers to analyze costs, assess vendor relationships, and maximize profitability. To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem solving, and resourcefulness, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising quality.
 
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience as Manager in the same field.
  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience as Cost Control.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • A thorough understanding of business processes and protocols is required
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately
  • Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with division/department heads
  • Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems
  • Experiences on cost planning and forecasting in shipping or shipyard industry will be an advantage
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide functional and technical financial leadership for project-based or regular cost planning and forecasting.
  • Analyze and report on complex financial/cost circumstances.
  • Provide oversight and advice for division functions to improve control outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Accounting & Finance division to ensure company strategies are implemented
  • Produce Executive and Management-level reporting including financial forecasting and analysis for every cost components.
  • Assist corporate functions with the implementation of project risk response strategies by monitoring progress and communicating effectiveness of strategies.
