Customs Clearing/Logistics Manager 
Handles all the overall responsibilities for the importation of Ocean freight. Including but not limited to creating all necessary paperwork & documents for importing into Indonesia from but not limited to China. As a dual role, the employee will also handle local transportation requirements in Indonesia. Contributes to a work team environment and is able to display and a sense of urgency. Works well under pressure. Provides and maintains exceptional customer service. Therefore, to be successful in this role, it is essential that the applicant has very good experience with Customs Clearing into Indonesia, exceptional Trucking & Rail connections. It is also essential that the applicant has good knowledge and connections for local Indonesian shipping lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Correctly prepares various needed documents for international transportation
  • Negotiates rates and quotes
  • Handles ocean exports and import shipments from start to finish
  • Arranges import/export transportation with different service providers.
  • Makes cargo routing decisions on import and export shipments
  • Pre-alert overseas and relay vital information, keeping in close contact with overseas agents and customers to ensure safe delivery of all shipments
  • Accurate invoicing, (cost/charges)
  • Local transportation via rail or trucking
  • Handle domestic shipments throughout Indonesia
Special Projects Assist in company-wide activates associated with the department. From time to time the company has requirements to supply our products in remote area’s of Indonesia, this would involve devising strategies to economically relocate our products for the end user.
Oversee supporting staff
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. The applicant must have exceptional knowledge for Customs Clearing, Rail, Trucking and Domestic shipping.
High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years import experience highly preferred. Knowledge of port practices, custom regulations, clearing protocol. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proven systems ability including Microsoft office. Must have working knowledge of Import/Export Administration Regulations. Experience with steamship lines, NVOCCS, Trucking companies, and the domestic rail network.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and correspondence. Must be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers via phone and email. English and Indonesian is a must, Chinese is of interest as well.
Ability to physically count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to define problems, establishes facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
