A new start-up logistics business and subsidiary of a Coal Transshipment Logistic Company looking for experienced entrepreneurs General Manager to lead a new division of Sales, Operation and Customer Service.
Must possess excellent experience in Freight Forwarding, Warehousing and Project Cargo in Sales and Operation, generate sales, bring new customers, and make strategic decision to ensure the smooth running of the business. GM Logistics reports to Directors of the new business unit.
 
Key Responsibilities :
  1. Bring in New Customers and Generate Sales Volume on Freight Forwarding business include Sea/Land/Air-freight, Domestic/ International, Warehousing/ 3PL, Special logistics including Project cargo.
  2. Develop Sales/Operation Plan and ensure to achieve and exceed Sales Target in both Volume and Gross Profit.
  3. Create and maintain key clients and business account.
  4. Build relationship and deliver excellent customer service and competitive advantage (suppliers, vendors, asset owners).
  5. Lead a successful team of Sales, Operation and Customer Service to achieve sales target. 
  6. Manage budget and expenditure and ensure Company’s Cash Flow is smooth and adequate.
  7. Monitor A/R closely and ensure no bad debt.
  8. Comply with regulation and prevailing laws.
  9. Manage and improve Company’s Business Process.
Requirement
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in any of the following Business Administration, Transport/Logistic Management, Maritime Education, Commerce or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience of which should be in Senior Management position in managing a company's logistic business, preferbly familiar with Shipping Logistic Business in Indonesia
  • Able to generate sales by bringing new customers
  • Lead a team and drive them to meet company's objective
  • Excellent salesmanship and negotiation skill
  • Has a wide range of connection in the industry
  • Excellent managerial and interpersonal skill
  • Team player, approachable, creative and resourceful person
  • Located in headoffice Jakarta Pusat

Today, PSS is headquartered in Jakarta and has two branch offices in Samarinda and Banjarmasin. PSS provides customized and integrated services for the bulk commodity supply chain. PSS offers flexibility with a wide range of services through our modern fleets of Floating Loading Facilities (FLFs), Tugs and Barges, and Floating Bulk Unloader.
 
In 2009, within two years of its incorporation, PSS was awarded the “Best Tug & Barge” operator by INSA and received the “Re-flagging Award” by INSA in the same year. Today PSS operates the best floating transshipment facility (FLF) which is capable of achieving a loading rate of 40,000 tonnes per day. It is the most reliable tug and barge operator in Kalimantan with tugs and barges of standardized design and specifications, enabling flexible and efficient deployment. PSS also operates some of the most productive Floating Cranes designed to produce an output of 20,000 tonnes per day.
