Job Description
 
Providing legal support and advisory services to relevant business units, particularly in the areas of general corporate, commercial, operation and special projects in order to protect the company's interest in every transaction in anticipation of potential legal risk. Maintaining a repository system for legal documents and providing reports/analysis to management.
 
  • Negotiating, structuring, and drafting agreements and/or other documents relating to corporate, securities and capital market, foreign investment, manpower, intellectual property, financial, corporate governance matters;
  • Advising senior management regarding strategic business decisions;
  • Advise internal clients on key provisions of agreements, complex sourcing issues, risk management, dispute resolution, and project management issues 
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing regulations
  • Improving internal standard operating procedure in coordination with other groups/functions within the company;
  • Supporting other division within the company in their operational activities;
  • Managing local and international external legal counsels as needed;
  • Maintaining and managing a repository system for material legal documents;
  • Providing legal support and advisory services to support operational activities;
  • Create and provide functional programs and work-plan consisting of objectives, scope, timeline, and budget;
  • Establish and ensures KPIs agreed and communicated to the team;
  • Leads direct, evaluates and develops professional staff and teams to ensure the achievement of Team goals and monitor and evaluates its performance.
  • Provides mentorship and training to subordinates.
 
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
 
  • Minimum Bachelor of Law Degree
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience working in both law firm and in-house
  • Proficiency in English is a must
  • Competence as a lawyer; ability to manage workload in a dynamic environment
  • Legal with a commercial sound with the ability to challenge results, provide solution and form justifiable assumptions for the business
  • High personal integrity and commitment, strong communication and negotiation skills, independent and solution-oriented working style
