Reporting to the Head of Indonesia Marine Execution, this role will help manage Indonesia vessel and port operations in Belawan in both international and domestic trade and will act as the primary contract, liaison, and representative of Maersk to both internal and external stakeholders, as it relates to front-line port and vessel operations.

Key responsibilities- Review of performance vessel operations: productivity + berthing on arrival
- Coordination with terminal for daily port meeting a port - prior vessel’s arrival
- Coordination and weekly meetings with SAS HQ (Sealand Asia Singapore HQ) Cargo Execution & Indonesia Marine Operations Teams
- Reporting of weekly vessel performance to head of Marine Operations and SAS HQ
- Coordination with capacity team of any rolled cargo
- Coordination for berthing allocation against result daily port meeting with Husbandry team
- Monitor berthing on arrival and sailing after complete operations
- Initiate cost savings or cost awareness with FP reduction
- Attend interviews in case with Customs if needed
- Re-export/auction/longstanding import monitoring
- Attend to daily operations emails
- Support Customer Service/One Team Customer Service/ Operations Equipment Teams related equipment availability
- Attend to claim issue – vessel – container damage
- Support Sales and Customer Service as one team one goal
- Support Cargo Execution SAS HQ - Marine Operations to achieve KPI as released related BOA + productivity
- Coordination and support other ports, i.e. Jakarta and Surabaya
- Attend INSA / Pelindo / Customs and other stakeholder meetings
Who we are looking for
An energetic talent who will grow along with the company, possessing qualifications below:
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Preferably a graduate of Engineering or Business-related courses.
- Must have at least 2 to 3 years shipping and logistics exposure.
- Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to deal with stakeholders with confidence, with high drive for results, possesses positive attitude, willing to learn and keen attention to details.
- Will be based in our Medan office and will require regular/frequent visits in our Belawan port.
