Marine Superintendent key role is to ensure operational safety and security of the vessel in the fields of navigation, cargo on board and the prevention of environmental pollution.
A key part of this role will be to proactively support Ship Management & QSHE Management.
 
AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE INCLUDE :
  • International Ships Measurement
  • Quality & Safety Management Certification (Vessel & Crew)  
  • Ships Regulation such as ISM Code, ISO 9000 Series, MARPOL, SOLAS, COLREG, ISPS Code, Flag State Control, Port State Control and any relevant regulation
  • IMDG Code  
  • Ship Operation  
  • Navigation Equipment
  • Certified for DPA and/or Internal Auditor (ISM, ISO, ISPS, MLC) is an advantage
  • Computer literate (Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook)
REQUIREMENT:
  • Holds ANT I certificate
  • Candidate must be between 35 to 45 years old
  • Experience Ship Master with at least 5 years sailing time on international shipping or in various fields of management
  • Background Container Vessel
  • At least 5 years experience in ship management as Marine Superintendent/ Marine Manager.
  • Familiar with marine regulations (ISM, ISPS, STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC) and marine insurance regulations
  • Familiar with HSE regulations, able to implement risk management and assessment
  • Professional, independent, driven and hands-on with a high level of commitment to deliver.
  • Proven strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis
