Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees day to day operation of vessels through Port Captains and operational supervision of the marine fleet and crews. Provides leadership for the department, manages budgets, conducts performance assessments and manages employee development.
  • Ensure Bunkering intake optimized and delivered for all Operated Vessels in line with SOP while at the same time keeping redelivery stocks to targeted levels for in-chartered.
  • Ensure proper implementation of bunker saving initiatives being run in conjunction with other departments.
  • Collaborates the development, implementation and maintenance of the marine fleet operational policy – masters standing orders (MSO), standard operating procedures (SOP), and safe working procedures (SOP). Ensures all vessels and crews and prepared for Maritime inspection/certification.
  • Ensures workplace safety by implementing, maintaining and monitoring the Safety Management System for main vessels and care. Includes regular safety meetings, onboard visits, communications, and other safety protocols.
  • Conducts/oversees post-incident investigations to determine root causes of incident. If necessary, attends all hearing, provides recommendations and action plans and follows up to ensure corrective measure are put in place to prevent future incidents.
  • Oversees the operations contingency plan and acts as the Incident Commander during emergency and salvage response situations, which includes implementation of the Incident Commander System.
  • Conduct meetings/calls as per Standard Work and ensure all agreed actions are recorded and shared.
Requirement :
  • Captains or Chief Officers with rank/class I with sailing experiences bulk carrier ships or Maritime Education
  • Has extensive experiences in shipping industry (managerial level)
  • Strong communication, Marine and Analytical skills is skills essential as you will be required to analyse operational data to help improve efficiencies and to also predict operational problems.
  • Broad understanding of Marine Operations/Ship Management related processes
  • Good stakeholder management, creative thinking and persuasive mindset with a''can-do'' attitude
  • Located at Head office Jakarta

Today PSS operates the best floating transshipment facility (FLF) which is capable of achieving a loading rate of 40,000 tonnes per day. It is the most reliable tug and barge operator in Kalimantan with tugs and barges of standardized design and specifications, enabling flexible and efficient deployment. PSS also operates some of the most productive Floating Cranes designed to produce an output of 20,000 tonnes per day.
