Responsiblities :
  • To ensure that the Company QSMS is carried out on board in accordance to the ISM and ISPS code.
  • Monitoring daily ship operations include ensuring that the vessel time sheet is accurate and timely submitting, coordinate on the timely arrival of all vessels with regard to cargo and vessel provision
  • Ensure that vessel comply in accordance with Company and legal requirements.
  • Conduct investigations and analysis for any non-conformances, accidents, hazardous occurrences and take corrective/preventive action to ensure safe operation of vessel.
  • Prepare and attend to shipboard inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance to standards.
  • To monitor validity of vessel certificates and class survey reports, to ensure all veseel trading certificates is up to date and compliance.
  • Ensure effective management and maintenance of fleet tanker operations, work in collaboration with Technical, HSSE to maintain sufficient and up to date criticals spares stock in relation to the logistic lead time for procurement and delivery as well as ensure that critical spares do not impact on vessel performance.
  • To liase with client on vessel inspection and compliancy.
  • Assist in any ad-hoc duties, projects and activities as and when required.
Requirement :
  • Holding Nautica class II or Master certificate
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Master serving onboard vessel : dry-bulk cargo
  • Minimum 3 years experience as Port Captain or in similar capacity.
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Good interpersonal skill and able to work well with others in a fast-paced working environment
  • Travelling will be required locally and internatinally
  • Willing to be located in Jakarta

Today, PSS is headquartered in Jakarta and has two branch offices in Samarinda and Banjarmasin. PSS provides customized and integrated services for the bulk commodity supply chain. PSS offers flexibility with a wide range of services through our modern fleets of Floating Loading Facilities (FLFs), Tugs and Barges, and Floating Bulk Unloader.
 
In 2009, within two years of its incorporation, PSS was awarded the “Best Tug & Barge” operator by INSA and received the “Re-flagging Award” by INSA in the same year. Today PSS operates the best floating transshipment facility (FLF) which is capable of achieving a loading rate of 40,000 tonnes per day. It is the most reliable tug and barge operator in Kalimantan with tugs and barges of standardized design and specifications, enabling flexible and efficient deployment. PSS also operates some of the most productive Floating Cranes designed to produce an output of 20,000 tonnes per day.
