We are looking for a Procurement Analyst being responsible for procurement and contract management activities covering Indonesia, positioned in the Area Organisation in Jakarta, and reporting to the Inland Procurement Manager of South East Asia in Maersk’s Asia Pacific Liner Operations Cluster (APA LOC) in Singapore.

Within our own and the larger Liner Operations team, you will enjoy support from colleagues and management who possess extensive experience in sourcing, cost management and liner business. In terms of personal development, this position polishes your ability to deliver results through internal and external stakeholders, which in this case are several and complex. Networking and interaction with vendors in the region will be an important part of the work.
 
You will also be part of rolling out the new procurement strategies – aligned with the integration of Maersk and Damco in Indonesia and Philippines, and to continue improve our of strategic position of cost leadership within the industry.
 
Key responsibilities
 
  • Managing complex procurement projects within operations in Indonesia and Philippines, to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution.
  • Being accountable for integrating Contract Management frameworks to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance.
  • Accountability for problem solving, analytical work, and driving insights from analytical work related to procurement functions.
  • Leading negotiations and coordinating Service Level Agreements between Maersk and its suppliers.
  • Performing supplier market analysis and organising market intelligence.
  • Cooperating closely with colleagues and stakeholders in all Maersk offices in Indonesia and Philippines and with manager and colleagues within APA LOC in South East Asia.
  • Some travel within Indonesia and South East Asia must be expected.
 
Who we are looking for
 
Experience in supply chain management, logistics or shipping operations and procurement is a necessity when applying, and combined with awareness of cost drivers will be highly valued in the selection process. It is necessary to possess experience within project management and have a procurement background. It is expected that candidate in previous roles have acted as project leader for cross-functional projects. The individual we are looking for must have strong communication skills, interpersonal skills through which he or she will engage a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders locally, regionally, and globally across a wide range of departments. The person will be responsible for driving key procurement projects forward, and will be an integral part of the team and its ability to deliver on our ambitious goals.
