This position exists to manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department. Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for hiring, training, and coaching employees.
 
Responsibilities :
  • To identify and make contact with potential new customers with a view to securing new projects long-term.
  • To develop and maintain a professional relationship with existing and new clients to ensure the customer satisfaction with the company’s performance to identify the customer’s future needs and requirements, advising on how the company can meet those needs.
  • A hands-on approach and a commitment to provide a high quality, client focused service with an ethos of ’’right first time on time’’.
  • Preparation and complete of tender with pricing documents and contract terms.
  • Work closely with the operations department and other teams to ensure optimum delivery of the transshipment activities.
  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
  • Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
  • Dispute resolution/settlement of contractual claims.
  • Analyze and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
  • Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects.
  • Work with the Board to set the income target for the year
  • Manage the expenditure of the commercial budget across the year.
Requirement
  • Minimum bachelor degree majoring in Business Administration/Management/Maritime Study/Industrial Engineering
  • Having minimum 5 years experience as Commercial/Sales/Marketing Manager or in managerial level
  • Having minimum 5 years experience in Sales/Marketing generally in shipping or coal industry
  • Good analytical thinking and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to financial and cost budgeting knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skill or customer oriented
  • Possess an excellent understanding of commercial and financial matters
  • Location is in Head office, Jakarta
