1. Freight Services
  • Ensure the execution of Freight Service within the office and provide advice to direct reports, optimize and manage consistency, in line with process and procedures, industry requirements and customer contracts, in order to ensure customer satisfaction
2. Business Development
  • Spearhead the sales effort
  • Be an active player in the development of new business within the global network and follow the strategy and route map that has agreed
  • Sell Global Integrated Logistics Solutions for IP business to existing and new IP accounts, capture Geodis expectations on cross selling synergies
  • Be a” Selling Manager” with own customers and sales targets
  • Establish efficient contracts with major clients
3. Internal Communication
  • Maintain clear and regular communications to the office staff on issues affecting the office and IP HO
4. Key Strategies
  • Key industries focus Energy or Oil and Gas, Mining & Infrastructure
 
Experience and Knowledge :
  • Strong background with many years’ experience in business, sales, logistics and forwarding, and specifically industrial projects
  • University degree, preferably in business or commerce, but not mandatory
  • Formal training in leadership and people skills
  • Business related experience and experience from a managerial function with leadership responsibilities
  • Proven sales record and experience
  • Deep knowledge of customers, agents and sister’s office, as well as familiarity with the financial aspects of the relevant local economy as well as international market conditions and trends
  • Deep knowledge in one of more of the international transportation and logistics industry, in export and import
  • Good knowledge and understanding of financials and impact on business
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and process used in the transport sector
  • Fluent in English, local language and any other language required for smooth operation of business
  • Handle and familiar with both Sales & Operations aspects of the IP business
 
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): English
  • At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Required Skill(s): energy, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, logistic, transportation, forwarding, supply chain, pipeline, engineering, business, commerce, sales, industrial projects
  • Preferably Manager/Assistant Manager specialized in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
