Role Summary :
- IT service engineer who support nationwide users directly.
- IT service engineer tasks are assign from both Indonesia Market IT and Central IT Service Desk at Shanghai.
- The tasks that cannot be solved remotely among users’ requests and troubles accepted by Central IT Service Desk are assigned to IT service engineer.
- IT service engineer works at Indonesia head office and directly supports our employees.
- Support locations are entire Indonesia DC which include
- For remote location support, IT service engineer on the phone/teams or on a remote desktop connection. In case of on-site support requesting, IT service engineer visit the remote location by a business trip to resolve it.
Key Responsibilities :
- The support time of IT service engineer is in principle the business hours of weekdays (8:30 am – 17:30 pm)
- Set up user equipment locally, install and modify software application.
- Shipping IT equipment to remote users.
- Contacts IT vendor when repairing IT equipment and repairs
- Sets up, modifies and removes the phone, also support change of PBX setting and manages representative telephone number, dial-in number and extension number.
- When VIP requests support, IT service engineer visits VIP as soon as possible to deal with the request.
- Sets up and lends IT equipment for new employees. Laptop, application installation, system account registration, authority group, mailing list and phone. Also doing IT induction when joining the company.
- Selects IT equipment that is no longer needed, erases the data, and asks the appropriate vendor to dispose of it.
- Supports printers, MDF and meeting room IT equipment.
- Collects IT equipment from person who left the company, and deletes accounts, authority groups and user data.
- Shipping alternative machines to remote users during repair.
- Records all domestic IT equipment in the IT asset management register, and manages the history of purchase, disposal, repair, and borrowers.
- Support events such as Town Hall meeting (Monthly and Quarterly communication by President/HR) and the other events, IT Engineer operate and prepare IT equipment for the installation of projectors and distribution of videos to remote site.
- Shutdown the IT infrastructure equipment before power outage, Reboot the equipment after power outage and confirming normal operation.
Skills & Qualification :
- 5 years or more experience in IT Desktop support engineer
- Good knowledge of ITIL-based Service Management processes and / or other best practice frameworks.
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructure and Desktop.
- Hardware; Wintel PC, Printer, MDF, VOIP, WIFI/LAN
- Desktop software; Windows 7/10, O365 (Office, SFB, Team and other)
- Windows server service; AD, DNS, DHCP, Print server
- Fluent Englih communication is a must (Verbal and Written)
- Ability to communicate smoothly with user
- IT service engineer understands the problem of user and resolves it accurately and supports returning to their work early.
- Ability to work smoothly with Central IT Service Desk and L2 technical team to solve problems.
